Hi all !

Today I am going to talk about detox and the juicing diet. Why detox ? Well our body can detox itself when it’s correctly nourished and in perfect health but let’s be honest, how many of us are actually eating the proper amount of nutrients in a day ? Our lives nowadays are always busy and on the run so it’s a bit hard to eat healthy all the time and exercise..

For me a good detox contains a lot of juicing, eating a few healthy bits such as salads, fruit, nuts and seeds and also adding super food supplements like chlorella, spirulina, wheatgrass, chia seeds, aloe vera and probiotics as they give a boost to the whole process.

Detoxification is a complex process, but research suggests that getting a huge amount of phytonutrients from plant-based foods and cutting out processed foods, and non-organic dairy and animal-based proteins can help to promote the body’s natural ability to detoxify and heal. When I did my first juicing detox I was looking into healthy ways of losing weight and incorporate more nutrients in my diet so I thought this is perfect for me ! I have seen Jason Vale’s programme and movie and also read some of his books and got really motivated to do a complete 28 day juicing diet.

I have also convinced my dad to try it as he was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes and hypertension and was given medications for it. Not only we both lost a lot of weight (around 10-12 kg) but he also cured his diabetes and his blood pressure was back to normal by the end of it. Other benefits I noticed were clear skin, shiny hair, harder nails, more energy and also I have re-trained my taste buds which means I craved more healthy foods and ate a lot less than before as I was getting fuller faster.

The trick after finishing this detox is to still keep on juicing at least once a day to incorporate all that nutrition that your body craves to stay slim, healthy and vibrant.

Now I am not saying that you should do a 28 day juice diet as I know for some of you this is a tad extreme but there are other options such as a 3 day, 5 day and 7 day programme also and you can find them all here :

I am a big fan of Jason Vale as his detox plan worked for me, my dad and some of my friends too so why not give it a try ?
